Aldi joins rivals Asda and Morrisons in rationing salad ingredients

Weather in Europe cuts salad crop imports with limits imposed on UK shoppers for tomatoes, peppers and cucumbers

Aldi has joined Asda and Morrisons in rationing certain fresh produce lines as shortages of salad crops hit the UK.

The German-owned discounter announced on Wednesday it is limiting purchases of peppers, cucumbers and tomatoes to three packs a person.
