NSW premier Chris Minns says annual cap on concerts was an ‘archaic restriction’ that hurt state’s economy

An annual cap on the number of concerts at Sydney’s Allianz Stadium will be lifted from four to 20, injecting a further $120m into the state’s economy each year.

The restrictions were introduced more than 20 years ago following a Rolling Stones concert, after local residents complained about noise.
