Rep. Austin Scott has been eliminated from the House GOP speakership ballot, as Majority Whip Tom Emmer continues to win a plurality of votes.
Emmer has continued building support throughout the day and is growing closer to a majority, the threshold he'll need to cross in order to become the speaker nominee. It's still unclear if he could get 217 votes on the floor, the same problem Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) faced last week.
