A critical incident investigation is underway after police shot dead a man armed with a knife in the early hours of Tuesday morning, New South Wales police said in a statement.
About 12.08am, an as-yet-unidentified man attended Auburn police station, in Sydney’s inner west, and threatened officers with a knife before he was shot, the statement said.
