Road deaths across Australia have surged in the past 12 months but the data that could help create solutions to reverse this trend remain shrouded in government secrecy.
The number of road fatalities across the nation jumped by 8.2% year-on-year to the end of March, with 1,286 fatalities, according to the Australian Automobile Association’s report into the national road safety strategy.
