Body found in Scottish reservoir identified as Marelle Sturrock’s fiance

Police were looking for David Yates in relation to her killing and said his death was not being treated as suspicious

Police have confirmed a body found in a Scottish reservoir has been identified as the fiance of murdered pregnant teacher Marelle Sturrock.

The corpse of David Yates, 36, was recovered after searches in Mugdock Reservoir, north of Glasgow. Officers were looking for Yates in connection with the killing of his 35-year-old fiancee Sturrock.
