Lithgow hospital briefly lost power on Wednesday as “dangerous” thunderstorms continued to rumble across eastern Australia.

The Bureau of Meteorology issued severe weather warnings for Queensland and New South Wales with severe thunderstorms possible, including areas around Brisbane.
