A bus transporting conscripts from Ahvaz to Kermanshah in western Iran plunged into a ravine in Lorestan Province, killing nine people and injuring 22 others, Iran's state TV reported citing local authorities.
The police said the cause of the accident was excessive speed, inability to control the bus, and veering to the left.
