Latest drowning came as Victorian police say a boy was killed by a falling tree branch on Thursday
A two-year-old girl has drowned in a back yard pool in northern New South Wales bringing the number of deaths from drowning in the state since Christmas to five.
Emergency services were called to the property in Whian Whian, north of Lismore, at 2.20pm on Wednesday afternoon.
