Prosecutors provide details of crime scene in court as they seek DNA samples from girl accused of stabbing a woman to death

Pink butterfly fingernails found next to the blood-soaked body of a woman allegedly stabbed to death is among the key evidence prosecutors hope to use to convict a 12-year-old of murder.

The girl, who cannot be named for legal reasons, is accused of fatally stabbing a 37-year-old woman at an apartment in Melbourne’s inner west on 16 November.
