Exclusive: Complaint made over police response to three children who were allegedly restrained with dog collars by accused vigilantes in Mareeba

The families of three Indigenous children allegedly assaulted by a pair of accused vigilantes claim they were “racially profiled” and treated like criminals by Queensland police.

In a complaint to the Queensland police, a family member of one of the children claims the police who responded to the incident took the side of the alleged vigilantes, telling the families that their children had been placed under a “citizen’s arrest”.
