Charity boss David McNamara says people are now seeking help in the ‘bastions of the middle class’

The cost-of-living crisis is eating into Victorians’ ability to put food on the table, with Foodbank recording a 27% rise in distribution this year.

Foodbank Victoria said more people are turning to charities, with the increase in demand exceeding the 21% rise in food distribution recorded in 2022.
