Four dead and nine injured after minivan crashes into New York nail salon

Fire department extricated people trapped in the Long Island nail salon, as driver was also taken to hospital

A minivan slammed into a Long Island, New York, nail salon on Friday, killing four and injuring nine people inside the business at the time, a Suffolk county fire official said.

The vehicle came to a stop at the back of the Hawaii Nail & Spa salon in Deer Park at about 4.40pm.
