In his Q&A with business leaders Rishi Sunak played tribute to the role played by the armed forces in the evacuation of embassy staff from Sudan. Sunak said:

We saw a great example [of the value of the military] over the weekend with the incredible bravery of our armed forces in rescuing our diplomats from Sudan.
