Before Cop28 summit, PM says ‘of course’ UK will get to net zero but it can be done in ‘sensible’ way
Rishi Sunak has said he is “not in hock to ideological zealots” pressing for more urgent action on the climate emergency, as he prepares to fly to the Cop28 summit.
The prime minister said the UK was a “world leader when it comes to climate”, claiming the statistics proved it was ahead of other countries on meeting targets.
