Ilhan Omar leads 384 worldwide leaders in call for Gaza ceasefire

Signatories of joint letter by US representative demanding end to war include politicians from Austria to Turkey

Some 384 parliamentarians around the world have signed a joint statement calling for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, urging their governments to seek accountability for “grave violations of human rights”.

As Israel continues its assault in Gaza, the effort is being led by Ilhan Omar, a member of “the Squad” of progressive Democrats in the US Congress, and Sevim Dağdelen, a member of the German Bundestag for die Linke (Left party).
