More than 1,000 girls across country have reportedly suffered ‘mild poison’ attacks since November
Iran’s supreme leader has described the poisoning of Iranian schoolgirls in recent months as an “unforgivable” crime, after authorities acknowledged more than 50 schools had been struck in a wave of possible cases.
“Authorities should seriously pursue the issue of students’ poisoning. This is an unforgivable crime ... the perpetrators of this crime should be severely punished,” Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was quoted as saying by state media.
