New Zealand's former prime minister receives the Order of Merit from the Prince of Wales at Windsor Castle

New Zealand’s former prime minister Jacinda Ardern said she hopes to “spread a little kindness” in the next stage of her career, as she was made a dame at Windsor Castle.

Ardern, who was elected in 2017 at the age of 37, was recognised by the Prince of Wales on Wednesday with one of the country’s highest honours – the New Zealand Order of Merit – for services to the state.
