The Wall Street Journal reporter Evan Gershkovich has appeared in a courtroom in Moscow at an appeal hearing against his arrest and detention in a former KGB prison on charges of espionage.
He stood in a glass and metal enclosure inside the courtroom on Tuesday, wearing a checked shirt with his arms folded in front of him. He did not say anything.
