CND is campaigning against the return of US nuclear weapons to Britain, and we were proud to support the peace camp outside RAF Lakenheath, the base in Suffolk where we expect the weapons to arrive.
After setting off from Norwich on 13th July, the Lakenheath Alliance for Peace held a 24/7 camp for 10 days to protest the return of US nuclear weapons to UK soil. As each day of the peace camp passed, the support for the message of peace got stronger and stronger, with over a hundred people taking part and many local visitors calling in the give their support. Local media coverage was positive and awareness is being raised about what happens at Lakenheath.

The Peace Camp will return 14-25 April 2025 to continue peacefully demanding that no US nuclear weapons be brought to UK soil. This is a beginning.
