Queensland police have revealed there was a warrant issued for Nathaniel Train’s arrest in the months before he took part in the Wieambilla shootings.

Deputy commissioner Tracy Linford said Train’s gun licence had been removed and an arrest warrant issued after he breached Covid-19 restrictions and crossed the border from New South Wales into Queensland while carrying loaded weapons. He later abandoned the weapons after his vehicle became bogged.
