The New South Wales police minister is facing fresh scrutiny over her claim that a delay in revealing that Clare Nowland was Tasered by police before she died was due to the need to inform her family.
A suggestion by Yasmin Catley and the police commissioner, Karen Webb, that the two-day delay was needed to inform Nowland’s family was undermined this week by an internal police document showing senior next of kin were informed on 17 May – the day of the incident.
