Tropical Cyclone Megan continues churning in Australia’s north-east where remote communities are waking up to assess damage from the severe weather.
About 700 residents in the town of Borroloola faced the worst of the cyclone, which made landfall on the south-western side of the Gulf of Carpentaria on Monday afternoon as a category 3 storm before weakening to a category 1.
