Rights Watchdog Says Tajik Activist Deported From Germany Has Been Jailed

Dilmurod Ergashev, a Tajik opposition activist who was deported from Germany despite significant concerns about the risk of his detention and torture upon returning to Tajikistan, has been jailed for two months, Human Rights Watch said on November 20, calling on Berlin to press for his release.
