PM says legislation will ‘make sure those convicted are swiftly exonerated and compensated’

Rishi Sunak has announced a plan to pass a law which would quash the convictions of all the hundreds of post office operators wrongly convicted in the Horizon IT scandal.

Speaking at prime minister’s questions, Sunak said the government would introduce new primary legislation “to make sure those convicted are swiftly exonerated and compensated”.
