Sister of Meredith Kercher speaks out as filming of Amanda Knox co-production begins in Italy

Sibling of 2007 murder victim says it is ‘difficult to understand’ what purpose eight-part series serves

Meredith Kercher “will always be remembered for her own fight for life”, the sister of the murdered British student has said, as filming began in Italy on a controversial TV series about the case, co-produced by Amanda Knox.

Filming of the eight-episode series, called Blue Moon, has coincided with the 17th anniversary of the brutal killing, for which Knox was twice convicted before being definitively acquitted in 2015.
