Producers of event refuse Ukraine president’s request to speak over fears of politicising contest
Rishi Sunak is “disappointed” by the decision to block Volodymyr Zelenskiy from addressing the grand final of the Eurovision Song Contest.
The European Broadcasting Union (EBU), which produces the event, said on Thursday night that it had declined the Ukrainian president’s request to speak on Saturday over fears it could politicise the contest.
