Donald Trump’s legal team on Friday sought to overturn a Fulton county, Georgia, judge’s decision allowing Fani Willis to continue as prosecutor of that state’s election interference case against the former president.
“[T]he indictment should have been dismissed and, at a minimum, [district attorney] Willis and her office should have been disqualified from prosecuting the case,” Trump attorney Steve Sadow said, in part, in the appeal filed Friday to an appellate court in Georgia.
