Donald Trump has once again invoked the debunked and bigoted notion of race science, this time in a Monday interview with conservative radio host Hugh Hewitt.
While criticizing President Joe Biden’s administration over immigration, Trump claimed that some migrants who enter the United States via an “open border”—which do not exist—have “bad genes.”
DONALD TRUMP: How about allowing people to come to an open border—13,000 of which were murderers—many of them murdered far more than one person. And they’re now happily living in the United States. You know, now a murderer, I believe this, it’s in their genes. And we’ve got a lot of bad genes in our country right now.
