Unite union calls off ambulance worker strikes in England

Move comes ‘after further assurances over the weekend’ from the government with regard to pay talks

Ambulance worker strikes in England have been called off by the Unite union.

Members of the union at the West Midlands, North West, South Central, South Coastal and East Midlands ambulance trusts had planned to strike on Monday. However, Unite paused the strike action on Sunday afternoon in order to enter pay talks with the government.
