Child died and father tested positive for H5N1, prompting fears of possible person-to-person transmission

The World Health Organization has said increasing reports of cases of H5N1 avian flu in humans are “worrying”, after the death of an 11-year-old Cambodian girl.

The girl’s father has also tested positive for the virus, according to Cambodia’s health ministry, prompting fears that the virus could have been transmitted between humans.
