Winter storms leave 250,000 people without power across the US

Several states in the midwest and north-east brace for rain and storms as many areas still work to regain power

Swaths of the US were dealing with severe weather over the weekend as tornadoes touched down in Oklahoma and nearly 250,000 people experienced power outages from the west coast to the midwest.

More than 36,000 residents were still experiencing outages as of Monday, NBC News reported.
