Zachary Rolfe has failed in a last ditch bid to avoid answering questions about the night he shot dead Kumanjayi Walker in the remote community of Yuendumu at an inquest.
Lawyers for the former police officer applied on Wednesday for coroner Elisabeth Armitage not to be able compel Rolfe to answer questions regarding the shooting on 9 November 2019.
